More than two player games are not out of the question, especially since the only one I mentioned was turn based, and therefore only one player plays at a time anyways. And no, 3d is not easy on the calculator.

Thief master would be top down, a 2d game, not 3d. You control the player with the arrow keys, and avoid being seen by enemies, while picking up money/treasure.

Immortal Guardian wouldnt be 3d either, itd be top down. Thats probably the least like one wed make, though.

Battleship would be pretty easy, I think. Its basically an array game. But yea, I guess semi hard.

I think the most probable games are:

Blocks and Lines

Pong

Tetris

Gala-Gal

Toadster
Since IG would be top down, it would completely ruin the point of it.
The calculator is the ultimate casual platform, to play with in study if you have no work to do/ dont want to do work

Most likely, none of these games would be multiplayer only (that takes away the ability to play in math class!), but would all include multiplayer functionality, as an additional incentive to play.

I dont advocate more than two players, because people want something to look at, and passing the damn things around is just awkward.
Good point, but I dont think anyone plays calculator games on a Friday night... lol. Mostly in class. Simple is definitely better.
One more thought on mazes:

If you make them fit entirely on a screen and give players a cursor to get from one corner to the other, if the maze is sufficiently difficult, they cant solve it by looking at it, so the fact that you can see it is moot
This is true, but I dont feel much like dealing with walls of any kind yet. Ill take on Blocks and Lines first, maybe Tetris too if I have time over vacation.
