But seeing as it is free and not for profit, and if it isnt called Magic: The Gathering, then there really isnt anything they can do besides telling us to stop making it. I dont think they would do that. There wouldnt be enough loss on their part to even consider it. Just like if I made a pokemon game, nintendo isnt going to shut it down because ten people play it instead of the original
Heres an idea: what I have written is mostly the basic functions that any TCG has
I can make whats here now private (cant really stop it from private use), and we could make our own card game (yes, design it), and just use whats here as a base.
it shouldnt be too hard to convert it to another game, because basicly no game specific code is written
if anyone sees hunter, see if hes still working on that game of his
edit: I would like to point out that there are other ways to ploay magic online
theres one called apprentice: <a href="http://www.magic-league.com/" target="_blank">http://www.magic-league.com/</a>
<a href="http://www.magicworkstation.com/" target="_blank">http://www.magicworkstation.com/</a> is another
what i can do is email the makers and see what theyve done to be allowed to run
although i suspect its like manette said - its just too damned small to annoy them
stil working on it as it as is.
i cant see what would be much wrong
and its like microsoft and china pirates: theyre glad because the people then get hooked and play the physical game, and it doesnt loose them any buisness (and may gain some)
but today is a good day.
IE7 is now compatible.
im only gonna say this once:
DajonCosis, get out of your house, go to your local drug dealer, and buy some weed.
or
get some new hobbies and hell, idk, go have fun with Jess.
Or at least play some Scrabble.
Ill ignore rems last comment *gag*
weed?
sad sad man
get high on life!
and im not going to dignify that
updates on where things stand:
- list of online users is available, so you know whos in the same chat room as you (updates every 10 secs)
-cleaned up usernames (standardized caps, there were problems with differing cap sequences)
-made the rollover so it wont go offscreen (which means much less scrolling
-chat box blinks when you get a new message (considering having it pop up a box with the message in the middle of the screen for a second, or some other notification as well)
-started working on entry adding/removing for deck editor (for nuts like me who want their decklists in an order)
next thing to do: counters.
finish and sell!
finish and sell!
finish and sell!
finish and sell!
finish and sell!
finish and sell!
finish and sell!
finish and sell!
finish and sell!
finish and sell!
I dont think well be making any money off this REM.
Haha, seeing as Magic is owned by WotC, I doubt we will be selling their game...
Any news on the development, Dajon? I meant to ask you earlier today, but forgot.
